Tax Justice Network Africa will participate in the health tax Alliance symposium taking place from 16 to 17 October 2024 in Cape town, South Africa.

Organised under the theme ‘Collaborating to Strengthen the Public Health Argument,’ the meeting will address the growing challenges of non-communicable diseases in South Africa and the need for collaboration in health taxes.

Participants will have an opportunity to share multidisciplinary research, knowledge, and best practices in tax policy and health advocacy in South Africa. It has been organised by the Rural Health Advocacy Project (RHAP) in collaboration with various public health stakeholders and advocacy organisations.

The sessions will cover a range of critical topics aimed at fostering dialogue, sharing knowledge, and building capacity among public health professionals and policymakers.
