Tax Justice Network Africa is pleased to invite applications from interested individuals to attend a short training course on Tax Justice for Journalists, designed to equip journalists with the tools and knowledge necessary to report effectively on tax justice issues across the continent.

This course is designed to enhance the capacity of African journalists to investigate, research, and report on issues surrounding tax justice and illicit financial flows (IFFs). This is an opportunity to network with fellow journalists and experts, deepen your knowledge of the tax justice space, and contribute to the larger fight for equity and accountability in Africa.

Key highlights of the course:

  • Capacity Building: Journalists will receive specialized training on tax justice topics, including international tax laws, policy analysis, and their implications for African economies.

  • Practical Learning: The training will feature expert-led sessions, case studies, and investigative reporting techniques, tailored to the unique challenges faced by African countries in tax policy and governance.

  • Networking and Collaboration: Participants will have the opportunity to connect with experts, activists, and fellow journalists from across the continent, sharing ideas and building a network of tax justice advocates.

The course will be conducted virtually, making it accessible to journalists from all African countries, regardless of location.
