TJNA organised a CSO Training on the UN Tax Convention in Lusaka, Zambia that ran from 4th - 6th April 2023.
Day 1 focussed on issues around tax and resource governance in Zambia, the concept of regional taxation, and double taxation agreements.
Day 2 focused on tax policy. We dived into the global context of tax policy, explored the challenges of international taxation, and understood the need for a UN Tax Convention.
Day 3 tackled the challenges of global tax architecture, where we explored a proposal aimed at addressing these challenges, and examined its potential impact.
